Brief：Space Zero is located in Beijing’s 798 Art District. It was established in July of 2006 by the investment of Daku Arts Center. (Daku Arts Center entered 798 in 1996) The foundations of the obsolete 706 electroplating workshop where redesigned and engineered to house an art exhibition space, a multimedia exhibition hall and an arts plaza. Space Zero has 300 square meters of indoor exhibition space. By paying attention to the developmental and ideological trends of domestic and international contemporary art, we seek to encourage communication between Chinese contemporary art and international culture and art. We support multiple art forms including visual arts, performance arts, experimental music and inter-medium new media art, and are active in the discovery, nurture and launching of young, cutting-edge artists. At the same time we are committed to the promotion of contemporary art by such methods as publishing, distribution, and the organization and planning of art projects incorporating both domestic and international artists.
